Dr. Amit R. Nayak is a Senior Research Consultant and Capacity Building Lead at the Central India Institute of Medical Sciences – Advanced Research Centre. He holds a B.Sc. in Biotechnology, an M.Sc. in Biochemistry, and a Ph.D. in Biochemistry with research focused on identifying biomarkers and therapeutic agents related to acute neurological disorders. Over the course of his research career, he has worked extensively in clinical and translational neuroscience, specializing in neuroinfection, neuroinflammation, molecular diagnostics, biomarker discovery, metagenomics and infectious disease surveillance. He has contributed to more than 45 peer-reviewed publications, resulting in over 580 citations, an h-index of 15, and an i10-index of 19, reflecting the broader impact of his scientific work. His roles have included leading and coordinating multiple national and international collaborative projects as Principal Investigator and Co-Investigator funded by reputed agencies.
