Dr. Amit R. Nayak is a Senior Research Consultant and Capacity Building Lead at the Central India Institute of Medical Sciences – Advanced Research Centre. He holds a B.Sc. in Biotechnology, an M.Sc. in Biochemistry, and a Ph.D. in Biochemistry with research focused on identifying biomarkers and therapeutic agents related to acute neurological disorders. Over the course of his research career, he has worked extensively in clinical and translational neuroscience, specializing in neuroinfection, neuroinflammation, molecular diagnostics, biomarker discovery, metagenomics and infectious disease surveillance.
