Dr. Birendra Pratap is an Assistant Professor specializing in Groundwater Geophysics, Hydrogeology, and Engineering Geophysics at Banaras Hindu University. He holds a Ph.D. in Geophysics and extensive experience in groundwater exploration, geotechnical investigations, and seismic studies. His research focuses on integrated geophysical methods, aquifer mapping, and subsurface characterization, with significant contributions in dam safety and reservoir analysis. He has supervised multiple Ph.D. projects, published widely, and completed numerous consultancy and research projects, earning recognition for advancing applied geophysics and sustainable water resource management.
