His work also analyzed the potential benefits of plant extracts against various human cancer cell lines using in vitro techniques and compared them with green synthesized ZnO NPs activities.

Moniba Rahim embarked on her academic journey with a strong foundation in the sciences, earning a B.Sc (Hons.) in Zoology, Botany, and Chemistry from M.J.P. Rohilkhand University, Bareilly, U.P. (2006-2009), where she graduated as a Gold Medallist. Her passion for biotechnology led her to pursue an M.Sc in Biotechnology at Integral University, Lucknow (2009-2011), where she again excelled, achieving a Silver Medal. Her dissertation, “Mechanistic insights of quartz nanoparticles induced cytogenotoxicity in human lung epithelial cells,” conducted at IITR, Lucknow, U.P., set the stage for her future research endeavors. Moniba’s academic pursuits culminated in a Ph.D. in Biotechnology from Integral University, Lucknow (2011-2017). Her thesis, “Prevention of AGEs by using different novel peptides bioconjugated with inorganic nanoparticles/quantum dots,” showcased her innovative approach to combating advanced glycation end-products (AGEs) using cutting-edge bioconjugation techniques.

She served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Toxicology at Haridwar Ayurveda Medical College and Research Centre from July 2020 to June 2023.
