Mrs. Uppula Ramya | Composite Materials | Women Researcher Award

SR University | India

Dr. U. Ramya is a research scholar in Mechanical Engineering at SR University, Warangal, specializing in advanced composite materials. She holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering (Composite Materials) from SR University, an M.Tech in Design Engineering from Kakatiya Institute of Technology & Science, and a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from SR Engineering College. With substantial experience as an Assistant Professor at Jayamukhi Institute of Technological Sciences, she has taught courses in Machine Design, Strength of Materials, Engineering Drawing, and CAD/FEA Analysis while guiding undergraduate projects on composite materials and finite element simulations. Her research focuses on polymer and elastomer composites, including Carbon Fiber Reinforced Liquid Silicone Rubber (CF-LSR), CF-PEEK, nano-reinforced LSR, ceramifiable fillers, high-temperature and dielectric applications, and mechanical and thermal characterization using techniques such as TGA, FTIR, XRD, and DMA. She also applies molecular dynamics simulations to study polymer–filler interactions. Dr. Ramya has published multiple peer-reviewed articles, holds patents on corrosion-resistant and AI-driven polymer composites, and has a Google Scholar citation count of 2 with an h-index of 1. Recognized for her innovation in composite materials, she was nominated for the Best Researcher Award in 2025. Her work contributes to industrial and electrical applications by advancing high-performance, multifunctional composite materials.
