Dr G. Deepana is an Assistant Professor in Civil Engineering whose research expertise spans ferrocement technology, sustainable concrete composites, waste‐based materials and structural durability. She has earned a PhD in Civil Engineering from Anna University, after completing an M.E. in Structural Engineering and a B.E. in Civil Engineering. With key interest areas including concrete technology, structural materials and design of reinforced concrete elements, she has published in leading peer‐reviewed journals (for example, on structural behaviour of ferrocement wall panels) and numerous conference proceedings. According to Google Scholar she currently holds an h-index of 2 with a total citation count of 11. She has also been granted multiple patents for eco-friendly concrete and brick products, serves as a peer reviewer in esteemed journals, and brings hands-on teaching and laboratory experience in material testing, environmental engineering and structural labs.
