Dr. J. Selvakumar is an accomplished researcher specializing in nuclear waste management, with extensive expertise in the separation of radionuclides via solvent extraction, ion exchange, and extraction chromatography. His work encompasses glass development, vitrification of high-level radioactive liquid waste (HLW), and lanthanide–minor actinide partitioning. Dr. Selvakumar currently oversees process control laboratories at the Waste Immobilisation Plant (WIP), Uranium Oxide Facility (UOF), and Vitrified Waste Storage Facility (VWSF), combining operational plant-scale experience with advanced research methodologies.
