Mohd Yasir Arafat is a distinguished academic and researcher in commerce and entrepreneurship, currently serving as Assistant Professor at Aligarh Muslim University. He holds a PhD in Commerce from Aligarh Muslim University with research focused on entrepreneurial intention among Indians, along with a Master and Bachelor in Commerce specializing in Finance and Accounting. He has extensive teaching and academic experience, including roles as visiting faculty and adjunct professor at prestigious institutions such as IIM Kashipur, Lovely Professional University, Jamia Millia Islamia, and Jamia Hamdard University. His research interests encompass entrepreneurship, women entrepreneurship, social and cognitive aspects of venture creation, agricultural entrepreneurship, and sustainable business practices. He has contributed significantly to national and international projects, including Smart Cities Mission, Startup India, and Atal Innovation Mission initiatives, and has served as a research consultant for Oxert London. He has also edited scholarly books and actively participated in international conferences.
