Dr. D. Lakshmi’s journey into the world of electrical engineering began with a deep-rooted passion for power systems and control mechanisms. She completed her Bachelor of Engineering (B.E) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Sri Sairam Engineering College under Madras University in 1999, securing a First Class distinction. Her academic foundation was further strengthened with a Master of Engineering (M.E) in Power Systems Engineering from Crescent Engineering College, Anna University in 2006, also with First Class.
Driven by an intense curiosity to contribute to the evolving landscape of electrical systems, Dr. Lakshmi pursued her Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering at SSN College of Engineering, affiliated with Anna University, and successfully completed it in March 2018. Her thesis, titled “A Novel Optimization Technique for Load Frequency Control in Deregulated Environment”, reflects her research-driven mindset and commitment to innovation in the power sector .
