Mr. Ahash Selvarajan | Soil Science | Best Researcher Award

University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore | India

Dr. Ahash is a soil science researcher who has built a solid early-career record in soil spectroscopy, phosphorus-solubilizing microorganisms, and integrated soil–plant analysis. With several peer-reviewed publications—including studies on PSB-assisted phosphorus management in rice and a review on traditional rice varieties—his work has already attracted citation attention, yielding an estimated h-index around 3 based on his published output. He holds a doctoral degree in Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry and earlier earned a master’s in Soil Science and a bachelor’s in Agriculture with strong academic distinction. His technical expertise includes soil spectroscopy, plant and soil chemistry, R programming, statistical analysis, and advanced use of Microsoft Office tools. His research experience spans undergraduate herbicide trials in little millet, master’s-level fractional phosphorus studies in high-P Vertisols, and laboratory analysis during industrial training in Tamil Nadu. He has participated in national soil health assessment training via Biofunctool® and served as student JRF under a Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation project. Ahash also contributed to conference organization and peer review in the field. His research interests focus on sustainable nutrient cycling, soil health diagnostics, and spectroscopy-based analytics. Recognized for academic excellence via institutional scholarships and awards, he is committed to advancing sustainable phosphorus management. He looks forward to collaborating and contributing to soil health research and agricultural sustainability.
