With a keen interest in radiation physics and its applications, Dr. Kumar went on to obtain his Ph.D. in Experimental Radiation Physics from Panjab University, Chandigarh, in 2009. His doctoral research focused on the study of inner-shell vacancy decay and photon-atom scattering processes in the x-ray energy region under the guidance of Prof. Nirmal Singh and Dr. Devinder Mehta.
