After completing his Bachelor of Science from Ravenshaw College, Cuttack (Utkal University), he went on to earn a Master of Science in Physics with First Class from the University of Madras, where he developed core expertise in Quantum Mechanics, Electrodynamics, and Condensed Matter Physics.

He later earned a Ph.D. in Physics from NIT Raipur, with his dissertation titled “Pyroelectric Effect and Thermal Properties of AlₓIn₁₋ₓN/GaN Heterostructures”, marking the beginning of his focused contribution to optoelectronics.
