Dr. D. Kirubakaran is an accomplished researcher and Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmacology at Saveetha Medical College and Hospital, Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical Sciences (SIMATS), Chennai. He holds a B.Sc., M.Sc., M.Phil, and Ph.D. in Botany, with research focused on green synthesis of nanoparticles and their biomedical applications. With extensive expertise in phytochemistry, nanotechnology, in-vitro experimental studies, toxicology, and environmental studies, Dr. Kirubakaran has developed and characterized nanoparticles using advanced techniques including UV-Vis, FTIR, XRD, SEM, TEM, DLS, and EDAX. His research encompasses antibacterial, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-diabetic, anticancer, and anticholinergic activities, alongside environmental applications such as bioremediation and biodiversity conservation. Dr. Kirubakaran has published numerous research articles in high-impact SCI journals, contributed book chapters, and actively participated in national and international conferences. He has received the University Research Fellowship for his significant contributions to scientific research. Recognized for his innovative work, he has accumulated over 469 citations, an h-index of 13, and an i10-index of 14. His current research interests focus on biomedical nanomaterials, green chemistry, and sustainable therapeutic strategies, positioning him as a leading contributor in the intersection of nanoscience and pharmacology.
