Early Academic Pursuits
Dr. Archana S. began her academic journey with a Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) from the Government Ayurveda College, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, where she graduated with First Class honors in 2009. She further specialized in the field of Prasuti & Streeroga (Ayurvedic Obstetrics and Gynecology) by completing her M.S. (Ayurveda) from the same institution in 2014, again achieving First Class honors. Her academic pursuit reached its pinnacle with a Ph.D. in Ayurveda from the Gujarat Ayurved University, Jamnagar, in 2019.
Professional Endeavors
Dr. Archana has a rich professional experience in both academic and clinical settings. She started her career as an Assistant Professor in the Dept. of Prasuti-Streeroga at PNNM Ayurveda Medical College, Kerala. She then served as a Clinical Expert and Lecturer at the Glocal College of Ayurvedic Medical Sciences and Research Centre in Uttar Pradesh. Her full-time Ph.D. scholarship at IPGT and RA, Jamnagar, further enriched her expertise. Currently, she is an Associate Professor in the Dept. of Prasuti & Streeroga at Shri Dhanwantry Ayurveda College and Hospital, Chandigarh.
Contributions and Research Focus
Dr. Archana’s contributions to Ayurveda are multifaceted. She has been a registered Ayurvedic Practitioner with The Travancore Cochin Council for Indian System of Medicine since 2010. Her research focuses on the management of reproductive and child health, as evidenced by her completion of an ePostgraduate Program in Management of Reproductive and Child Health Programmes from the Indian Institute Of Public Health, Delhi, and a Certificate course on Health Research Fundamentals from ICMR-NIE. She is also engaged in an ongoing Certificate course in Research to Publication by BMJ, University of California San Francisco, and Manipal Academy of Higher Education.

Dr. Archana’s academic achievements include distinctions in her 10th and Plus-Two examinations. She has successfully supervised research projects, such as the one entitled “Knowledge, Attitude and Practices towards the use of Ayurvedic medicines in gynecological ailments among the female population of Chandigarh,” which was selected under the Studentship Programme for Ayurveda Research Ken (SPARK).
